Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. I’m Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I’ve trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it’s the antidote to fear. Each week, my guests will bring Bold, Executable, Intrinsic and Targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It’s a practice, not a perfect. Let’s get started.

Hello. Be It babe. Welcome back to another Friday. Oh my God, we’re already in the second Friday of this year. And you know what I’m gonna say? I’m gonna say what everyone’s saying, the year is flying by. Thank God. You know what? Whether it’s good or it’s bad, sometimes it’s good that we’re just flying through it, as long as you’re taking time for yourself. And I will say you should celebrate listening to this episode as a win, because this episode is the time where we celebrate people’s wins. When we celebrate people’s wins, we are being present. We are taking time to hold space for the work and effort that other people have done, including ourselves. Because sometimes you’ll hear your own FYF, and it’s inspiring to hear what people are doing, which is why we added a new segment in because I want to just shout out like women who’ve inspired me on the internet, including yourself. It could be you one day, it could be you, who knows. So don’t worry, these will stay short, but this one is 23-year-old Adriana Brownlee becomes the youngest woman to scale the world’s 14 highest peaks. So we’ve actually interviewed the first woman to ever scale this top seven K2s. But this woman scaled the 14 highest peak, which is like not even one per continent. It probably could be multiple in a continent. So Adriana Brownlee quit university and decided to climb mountains instead, big mountains. And she has ticked off the boxes as in the world’s tallest mountains. The 23-year-old eventually became the youngest woman to climb the world’s 14 highest peaks. Let this be a reminder, all paths are different. Choose yours, trust it and work hard. Yes, yes, I’m into that. Yes, I love that so much. I mean, my goodness, university is great for people it’s great for. And whatever you are out there doing on this earth, whatever you’re trying to educate yourself for, whatever you’re working on, is great. We all get to have different paths. And we can be inspired by others. And sometimes you can be so inspired you’re like, why that sounds cool. I want to do that. And if Adriana does that for you, fabulous. And if not, freak, that’s so cool. 23 years old, and she did that. I mean, may we all do something that challenges us in a great way. And if school isn’t challenging for you, you can do something else.

All right, so today’s win of yours, this one I’m really excited about. We haven’t heard from this person in a bit, which you’ll hear why, and I want you to see yourself in this win, because I know that many of you listening are dealing with things at home that we know nothing about, and they’re not taking a few days, they could be taking a few years. So Joanne Sutton, she’s an Agency member for many years. She lives in Australia, and she said, for the past three and a half years, I’ve been caring for my mom, who has serious health issues. This year, she has been hospitalized five times in seven months, and her last day was seven weeks when I visited her twice daily and took her food. After an amazing call with LL, I’m celebrating what I have still been able to achieve in my business during this very stressful and exhausting time, including being woken up multiple times during the night. If you have a lot going on in your life, hopefully you can see what is still possible. Many times, I wanted to give up, but I’ve still managed to write a fortnightly blog post and newsletter, keep teaching my one-on-one clients virtually via Skype. And last week, I taught 29 clients, the most I’ve ever taught for many, many months, had the second largest quarter financially in July, August and September, since I started teaching virtually four and a half years ago, and my mom was in the hospital during this quarter. Wrote a book about becoming pain-free through Pilates that launched on Amazon in February of this year and became a bestseller. Filmed two videos per month for my on demand library. I’m so grateful to be an agency member. I know I couldn’t have continued to all of this without the support of LL, Brad and the Agency team. Joanne, you have freaking done a lot. And yes, she has a bestselling book, and it’s really, really amazing. You should check her out. It’s hard when things are going on that are outside of your thing that you’re working on, you’re like, come on, I’m working on this thing over here. And then we can feel bad about feeling resentful, and we can feel exhausted and we can wonder, but you know what, what’s kind of crazy is when you’re really busy and you have goals, you still manage to get things done. You just don’t always have a time to celebrate it. So I just want to say, Joanne, thank you for taking time to celebrate with us so that we can all go, Oh my God. I have had some crappy shit going on the last seven months, and I still managed to do that. That’s what this episode is for. That’s what it’s for. So thank you.
Lesley Logan 4:45
All right, quick win of mine, I have been home for not even 24 hours by the time that this actually releases, maybe just 24 hours, and I’m so proud. The first thing I’m doing is getting a Pilates session in. I did that today. Getting my hair done. Yes, a win can be just self-care. It can actually just be showing up, because, you know what? I have a million things to do, so much to catch up on. I could tell you, when I’m on tour, I can barely keep up with a lot of the work that I normally do. I can only basically do the promo of the tour, teach the tour, and then sleep and hopefully get my workout in right. There’s not a lot I could do outside of that, because it’s just really hard to take calls. There’s no signal. Sometimes internet doesn’t work. Everything takes a little longer than you want, and so when I come back, I could literally go through the 17 million packages that showed up while we were gone, but we’re not instead, I did my Pilates session, getting my hair done. Win, win, win. That’s me. So you guys, it is my birthday month. I will have more wins coming up as I celebrate 42 but we’re not there yet.
Lesley Logan 5:44
So today I’m going to end this with your affirmation, keep moving forward. Keep moving forward. I don’t know where this deck is. This one was gifted to me by Monica Linda, one of my dearest friends, and it’s just keep moving forward. So, thank you all so much. You know what to do until next time, Be It Till You See It.
