Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. I’m Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I’ve trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it’s the antidote to fear. Each week, my guests will bring Bold, Executable, Intrinsic and Targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It’s a practice, not a perfect. Let’s get started.

Hello, Be It babe. Welcome to your FYF episode. your short but quick, your reminder that there are wins out there are there are wins that are all sizes and all shapes. And it’s so important to celebrate them. Even if you’re celebrating like it’s a little warmer today. That’s a win. So I’ll celebrate. I’ll celebrate with you. I’ll celebrate a win of yours. And then a win of mine. Remember you can send your wins in because sometimes it’s really nice to hear your win after you’ve had it. After you celebrate it I’ll celebrate it, we’ll all celebrate it for you because you might be having a shit day and it’s like, oh, that was a win I had a couple weeks ago. I did that. And then you can re-pat yourself on the back. How cool is that?
Lesley Logan 1:22
So here we go. Today’s win is from Sonia Ahmed. She is out of London and she is an eLevate grad and an Agency Member of many years and here is her FYF. So she says, “Had my hip injected and I’m in agony and can’t exercise for a week but so grateful I’ve had it done. I know it’s for the best and I can rehab the shit out of this next week. Thankfully, I recently changed to teach in my class without demonstrating so much so I plan to carry on teaching all of next week without demonstrating, will use my clients and demonstrators if needed. Feel like I’m slowly gaining some clarity on my why for my newer projects to work with my teachers. And my posts are slowly at snail’s pace gaining traction and my ideal clients are following my social media pages. My new mat client who’s been who’s only been to three classes asked if I did any other days I assume timings weren’t working for her and she wanted to switch Nope. She loves it so much. She wants to do more. Yay. Happy weekend all.”

Sonia, I love this. Thank you for sharing. It’s so it can be so hard when you’re a teacher or anybody, whatever your profession is, if like something happens and like it kind of affects you doing your profession, you can start to like, internalize that and make it something that’s not. And it’s not anything. And so I’m just so grateful that one, Sonia, you did something, you did that for yourself so you can actually grow and heal from it and get stronger. And two, that you’ve set everything up so that your business can continue to run. You don’t have to change anything, just because you took something times for prime for yourself. And also, you know, thank you for being brave enough to share this win and also that you’re celebrating it. It’s so easy for us to go. It’s happening at snail’s pace like why is it happening faster? You guys it doesn’t happen faster. I wish it did. I wish it did every single person you think that made it overnight didn’t say they got 10 years of work behind them. It’s so so important. There are people who are like, oh my God, you do so much. Yeah, but not all at once. I can’t remember must have been doing an interview somewhere recently where you know, someone’s like you have this and you have this and you have this. I’m like well, let me just tell you. I started off with this. And then two years later we did this. And then two years later we did this. So like it’s not it’s not all at once. No, that doesn’t work unless you have lots of money even then, barely. So really being kind and I love that you’re celebrating the snail’s pace because it is working and people are listening and you just want you want a few diehards and then they’ll tell all their friends. So, thank you Sonia for sharing that.

Okay my win. Y’all I’m back from my vacation so I took a vacation right after the last FYF. I had girlfriends come to town and we did this last year I think you heard me celebrate this. We did a girls’ weekend. And it was we decided oh the beginning of the year we should get together even if it’s just for two days and just like have a girls trip. And like while everyone’s like oh my God the new year. We’re like oh my God, we’re gonna relax in the new year. And it just is like a fun way to just let the New Year start without going I just the gun just went off and I’m running like and it was so important to me to plan it because with such a huge tour I really wanted to make sure that I had a break before I came back into filming and recording and coaching and all that stuff. So my win is I don’t need a vacation from my vacation. My win is that like after the tour and going on vacation I come back and I’m like so excited to work and I don’t need that vacation from the vacation. So I am so pleased with myself. Part of it is just like amazing planning ahead like and I mean like ahead ahead. So I’ve had to after years of really knowing how early on I have to get things done for January before I leave for the holidays, I had to do that even more earlier in the year so that I could be ahead ahead.
Lesley Logan 5:13
And then also the other part of it was just like, just trust that it’s all going to work out, you know, it’s all going to work out, it’s all gonna work out. And that’s really hard. I have to remind myself, it’s all gonna work out. Like it’s a mantra that I say out loud, oh, it’s all gonna work out. It’s all gonna work out. So I don’t have a vacation from my vacation and two years in a row, I had a girls’ trip with some besties. And we’re gonna do it again next year, and I’m so excited. The tour has to end in time for us to do my girls (inaudible) it’s a tradition now and I absolutely love it.
Lesley Logan 5:42
Also, I’m just gonna say I’m gonna add another one to this. Y’all, your best friends don’t have to live where you are. I’ve been really kind of thinking as I live in Las Vegas for so many years. And I’m like, kind of really missing like some of the people I would have dinner with all the time. Like, one of the girls that came out to Las Vegas, we serve dinner like once a month and some other girlfriends. And there was something about like having my best friends like in town. That felt good. And like I had that. And part of me like thinking, oh, I don’t have that in Las Vegas. I have friends. So no offense to my Las Vegas friends. I love all of you. But like I had, like, you know, it takes years. Like it takes time for a best friend to kind of present itself. And what I’ve realized is you can live anywhere and your bestfriends can live anywhere. And if you are intentional about that you can see them all the time. So shout out to Korin and Kelly because we have seen each other multiple times each year since I’ve moved. And none of us live in the same place. And we all do it because it matters to us. So anyways, that’s another win. Wow, two wins. So fun.
Lesley Logan 6:41
All right, let me leave you with this quick affirmation. I am allowed to ask for what I want and what I need. That is for you. Because I have been practicing that for several years now. And I promise you it’s great. I am allowed to ask for what I want and what I need. My loves, if you’re a space maker, you can be a little bit of a space taker you are allowed to ask what you want and what you need. So say it out loud over time. I am allowed to ask for what I want and what I need. Have an amazing day loves until next time, Be It Till You See It.
