Welcome to the Be It Till You See It podcast where we talk about taking messy action, knowing that perfect is boring. I’m Lesley Logan, Pilates instructor and fitness business coach. I’ve trained thousands of people around the world and the number one thing I see stopping people from achieving anything is self doubt. My friends, action brings clarity and it’s the antidote to fear. Each week, my guests will bring Bold, Executable, Intrinsic and Targeted steps that you can use to put yourself first and Be It Till You See It. It’s a practice, not a perfect. Let’s get started.

Hello, Be It babe. Hi. Oh my gosh, welcome to Fuck Yeah Friday, which means a day where you are reminded to celebrate all the things, not just the things that went perfectly well, not just the things that you actually finished, but just things that you did do. Because that makes life easier. You can actually build your competence by realizing well, I do a lot of shit. And I love to share your guys’s wins, because you can hear from peers, like, oh, that’s a win. Oh, I wish I had a win like that this week. And then one of mine because I mean, it’s important, you know, like, I don’t have it all figured out either. No one does. By the way. No one does. If anyone does, and they say they do, you should run, because everyone’s always learning. But anyways. Okay, so we’ll start with your wins. And then we’ll go to mine. And then at the end, I always have I started adding a little affirmation you can repeat or journal on or think about because, you know, sometimes it’s like, I don’t know, and we just need to like, what do I journal about? What do I write down on my thing, whatever. Something to help you if you’re feeling stuck, so I hope this gets you unstuck.

Okay, the first win is from Sam, and I, oh, I love this one. Sam is an Agency member. She’s an eLevate, member, and she lives in the UK. And she said I’m 50, was her birthday, right? I’m 50, had seemed unbelievable that I got here. So proud of what I’ve achieved so far. From a cabin in the back garden to a four-room studio space with six instructors, including myself and husband, and admin assistant assistant and a business analyst. So proud of what I’m still achieving so grateful for this community and the beautiful people I’ve met. So grateful for my beautiful family who continue to amaze me and make me a better person. I feel inspired. I feel strong. I feel young. I feel lucky. I’m ready to inspire others. I’m ready to live my truth. I shall continue to shine a light on others but no longer at the expense of myself. I feel excited for the future. I feel calm. Happy freakin birthday, Sam. And what a way to just inspire everyone on their birthday to just like do some items. And I feel, and I am right. I love I love this. If it is your birthday or your unbirthday like, take a moment to just take stock of like, look at look at how far you’ve come. Just beautiful, Sam. I’ve read this seven times now and I, I It still gives me like good chills. Love it.

Lesley Logan 3:13
Okay, Claire Sparrow, you remember her? She’s had some wins lately. And she’s still winning. We’ve got some more wins to share, but I want to make sure they’re from her. But you can check out her episode. We had it out last December. So she wrote whoop, whoop, what a winning week. My book is here in print. And today I took it to a local indie shop who are stocking it. I’ve also started giving copies to people who it will impact starting with Ruby Wax last week and stuff from Steph’s Packed Lunch today. It feels like the beginning. And just so you know, I’m sure we’ll have more wins to celebrate with her but her book is published you can get it on Amazon. And it’s on the number one bestseller list. So way to go Claire Sparrow, so friggin happy when she was on the podcast, you know, she had plans to write the book and since then she’s written the book, published the book, it’s gotten in the hands of the best seller. You’d be surprised what you can do in a year you guys you in nine months even should even do a full year she did it like in less than nine months. So super, super proud. And love celebrating that. So you can send your wins into the Be It pod and I’ll share them and shout them out so that if you maybe when we air them you’re having a day and you hear it you’re like oh my god I did that. Like how cool would that be? So make sure you send them in.

Lesley Logan 4:25
So my win is that I have had just a lot of little obstacles nothing I think some of the things trials are actually pretty major but this year just have like a lot of like little obstacles. And what I have been working on doing is taking a couple deep breaths and feeling that like fear feeling that worry feeling that oh my god like that that urge to like micromanage and, and my default when there’s a lot of obstacles is like do the thing that has the most certainty but certainty is actually perfectionism in disguise. And so it’s not I’m not perfect at this yet. It’s not all day every day like I’m slaying but I have been really working on this last month. I’m so proud. Like as these two little obstacles that come up as a little flare ups have come up. I felt the feelings, I let myself kind of have a little reaction. And then I did some deep breaths, and not even a full breath work session just like you can do it with me right now you can just inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale. And if you need some, it’s a little bit more dynamic, you can do two inhales. And one exhale. Quick little inhale, long exhale, it’s a really great brain reset. And it’s been awesome, because it’s allowing me to trust it’s going to work out. And a lot of these little issues solved themselves. By the time I found out about them, they were almost solved or absolved. And so I think it’s really important that like, we’re gonna have shit hit the fan, it’s just gonna happen. And we cannot control all the things, nor do you have the time, nor do you want to, but we can do is take a deep breath, trust, it’s going to work out and see these obstacles as these gifts like, Oh my God. This obstacle is actually helping me learn how to overcome this challenge that will probably happen in my future. So we’ve said before, like life is kind of like a video game. And sometimes you have to go through a challenge that you can get the muscle so that when you have another challenge, you actually can handle that one, right? So anyways, I am trusting it’s all gonna work out. And I’m really enjoying it. It’s not easy. It’s not easy at all, but we’re gonna keep doing it. And that’s why we’re celebrating a win right now. Because I’m not waiting to celebrate a win until I perfectly so good at trusting all obstacles now or celebrating that I’ve trusted the ones that I’ve experienced this month. And that’s the win.

Lesley Logan 6:49
So my affirmation for you to read out loud to yourself is I do not have to linger in dark places. There is help for me here. So I do not have to linger in dark places. There is help for me here. Let’s say together. I do not have to linger in dark places. There is help for me here. My love there’s help for you. There’s people out there whose strength is your weakness and they cannot wait to do what they love to do and help you out. So reach out. Let him and help you trust it’s all going to work out and celebrate what you did do. Thank you so much for listening. Until next time, Be It Till You See It.
